Very boring lectures, very scattered, not organized, and still expects students to put up with it without any room for understanding or accommodation. Also very un-engaging "class discussions" lead to wasted time, not a good professor.
Her class sounds so interesting yet she somehow makes them so dull. My biggest advice to students taking 7D is to reach out to your TA, not her.
Poorly structured class and extremely unclear guidelines. Doesn't try to make her lectures engaging at all and they go on for a ridiculously long time especially in comparison to the little substance they have.
Just bad. Truly in all rounds
I wish I saw these ratings before I took her class. This is my last quarter. ON WEEK NINE, she told me she might fail me because of my attendance. For the record, I have DSP for attendance. She waited until week 9 to tell me she would not give accommodations.
Her lectures are super boring and very long. Really bad with tech. Attendance is mandatory. The TAs are very chill and easy-going. Grades easily, so passing the class so far has been a breeze. Weekly writing assignments, two projects, and a final are all there is. I recommend contacting your TA for any questions, not her!
Absolutely worst Art professor I've had. NEVER respond to emails. It's so hard to communicate with her outside of class. It felt like being given a silent treatment when you're so anxious to reach her. Other art professors told me they've heard of the reputation. Shows absolutely ZERO compassion and understanding to students facing difficulties.
She would seemingly pretend to listen to you while her eyes rolled back in her head, creepy and very strange. She discouraged asking questions, and if she didn't know the answer, got very nervous.
Art 7D was ridiculously easy. Write a few 3-5 sentence paragraphs about the readings every week, two projects due (with vague grading criteria). Barely paid attention during lecture. Realistically this class should have been 2-3 units. Professor was very nice and lectured clearly, and grading wasn't harsh.
