i thought he was alright, his lectures weren't that interesting but if you study all the slides then you'll do fine... pretty much study the slides for the whole gen bio series and you'll pass... only problem is that its ALOT of info

Amazing and Hilarious! Friday fun facts are not to miss! You learn a lot in the class but is well worth it if you plan on going on to graduate/professional school

The best professor I've had so far. He makes the materials very clearly and fun. He's very approchable and helpful during office hours. This class is indeed challenging. Make sure you get some sense of DNA/RNA/protein techniques and experimental procedures before you take this class. Getting good TAs are critical too.

One of the hardest classes i have taken at UCSB. But an amazing class, you learn EVERYTHING about the cell. He is really funny in office hours and in class. He is one of those profs. that if u see him in office hours all the time he will bump up ur grade!

he's funny, he relates concepts in book to everyday facts..he's cool
