I thoroughly enjoyed the class. He was always willing to go into further detail in class as well as delve into a deeper discussion of the material if there were any questions.

One word: awesome. He always tries to incorporate his humor and opinions into lectures. Also very enthusiastic about the subject. My only complaint is that lectures were not really relevant to your grade. Would still highly recommend taking him if you have the chance.

I was skeptical at first, but wound up really liking this course. Great lectures, but the books were sometimes hard. Not bad looking for a Canadian.

I love this professor. He had made ENG 101 interesting, despite all of the less than exciting books. p.s. not sure about the complaints - what?

I came into this class having 0 interest, but ended up loving it. He makes the lectures so fun and interesting. He is such an intelligent man and I loved his teaching style. He is very easy going/laid back, and always willing to help when you ask! Griffin is a professor that wants you to succeed. Great person all-around.

He tries to bring students in and make them feel what he feels about the plays. He's also great with disagreement: doesn't fight but does challenge. The whole class was both funny and serious.

Values all opinions and responds to students in lecture with further analysis of the point or helpful criticism. Incredibly helpful in office hours, enthusiastic about the material, and grades fairly. (Took Engl 10 with him and would say all the same things.) My favorite English professor at UCSB! I only wish his material was more interesting...

Andrew is really awesome! You can tell he's so passionate about what he does, and is always willing to help those who need it. He's one of the best professors around. Even if the topic isn't the best, he works hard to make really interesting lectures, and also foster in-depth discusson. He's also pretty hot. You'll do well if you do the work.

His class changed my life! He makes lectures interesting, funny, and easy to follow. He's always willing to talk to students. And he's beautiful.

First and foremost, this guy is a peach. Super peach. And an awesome professor, lots of reading, but most of it is good. Highly recommend this professor for any class. Attendance not necessary. Especially if you sit in the back of the class. Did I mention that he is a babe?
