Film and Media Studies - FAMST

This course introduces students to theoretical approaches and frameworks that are crucial to understanding our social and cultural contemporaneity. Topics include ideology and social determination; knowledge and power; history, memory, and trauma; postcolonial/decolonial critique; neoliberal globalization; biopolitics; risk and precarity.

Prerequisites: Film and Media 96 with a grade of C or better.
