Topics include: motivations for experiments in economics, types of experimental designs, inducing preferences and beliefs, designing experiments with inference in mind, calibration of parameters, implementing an experiment, implementing moves by nature, elicitation techniques, framing, dealing with risk aversion in the laboratory, cognition tests, design of payments.

Prerequisites: Second year Ph.D. in Economics graduate student standing.
