One of the kindest and most supportive instructors I've had. Her course is well-structured, readings are engaging, and she truly cares about students. Emails are answered quickly, office hours are welcoming, and the workload is reasonable. Highly recommend! 100% would take her class again—my favorite professor at ucsb. and be ready for presentation

Professor Aili is super caring and her grading criteria is easy to complete! Her feedback helped me improve my writing a lot and allowed me to pursue a more creative way of writing. Just keep up with her work and be specific with what you're discussing in your 2 writing projects plus a final (no tests, just a portfolio).

Very fun professor. Was very welcoming and thoughtful during office hours. Contract grading made it low stress. Two projects and a final project which is just the fully revised previous projects. Tip is to not make first two projects super polished so you have more to work with for the final.
