CollegeThe lecture was optional - slides were posted. gave 3 fairly easy assignments. the tests were average in terms of difficulty. Professor himself is great. id totally take this class again. However, your TA matters. DO NOT GET TA aakriti poudel. worst section and grader of my life.
this was common sense in a course. genuinely so easy I felt like I was getting dumber by being there. dw you'll get an A if you have have any brain cells. prof is super nice but class was just boring.
Great professor, methods is supposed to be the hardest soc class but he made it really straightforward and I wasn't overwhelmed with the workload or concepts. Definitely recommend taking as a soc major to fill this requirement.
He is a very passionate professor and really does a good job explaining topics. There was one midterm and final with 50 multiple choice questions each. He does a review of the topics on the test before so if you study the concepts then you should be fine. The tests are non cumulative. There are 4 other assignments assigned throughout the quarter.
I made an account to tell you to take this dudes class. I have taken Soc 101, 122, and now 128 with him, and consistent with his lecturing and class organization. There are 2-3 quizzes, depending on whether it is summer or normal quarters, and a paper final. Assigns reading, but I have never had to read to do well. Always good for makeup/extensions
Fav class this quarter. 5 essays that are 400-500 words but are easy and graded fairly. A midterm and final. Both are easy, just make sure to do the readings, go to class, and study. Turowetz is very chill and so knowledgeable. He lectures very clearly which is lovely plus he has straightforward grading criteria. Definitely take this class!!
