CollegeGreat professor, learned a lot in his lectures, the slideshows were helpful and lecture recordings whenever I had to miss class. Exams were fair and had fun learning the material, you can tell he wants you to learn a lot. Great professor and makes learning easy.
Great charismatic professor. The midterm and tests were very fair, but there was lots of homework. With that being said, however, if you did all the homework you would be well prepared for exams. Would take Paul again.
Overall well structured class that goes more surface level on a higher number of topics than other 7 series courses. Class is structured well, homework is extremely annoying and tests are easy. Lectures had lots of blackboard derivations that were hard for me to follow.
His lectures were pretty boring but overall the class was structured quite well for how many topics there were to cover. The midterm and final were fair and he did his best to help everyone by sliding the grading scale. Homework became really annoying for the modern physics part.
He's a good teacher overall, his lectures are alright but the sections is where you would get the most help (the problems in the sections require critical thinking but are optional). Although exams are heavy they are fair, the gimmick is that sometimes questions would test your ability to connect between different materials in class.
Tests are worth a lot (final = 45%, midterm = 24%). Class didn't help learn the concepts because majority of it was just deriving equations rather than applying the concepts. Section was helpful. Grading on tests was pretty okay. The homework was a lot and difficult to get through based on content just from the lectures.
