Lectures didn't make any sense but it's an easy class.

Nothing against this teacher, she is just REALLY boring. 3 papers, 3 quizzes, you can drop a low quiz grade. Genuinely just depends on the TA you get. The lectures are SUPER boring but it helps to go to probably 75% of them (esp towards end of quarter). Lwk the slides she uses are not good, lectures have basically zero structure, but she lwk funny

Pretty easy class. Quizzes are worth 10 points with only 5 questions but they are pretty specific. Never once did the readings as they seemed useless. We only had 3 papers and they were easy. Final exam was fine, just know the terminology and STUDY. Every Friday you will watch a film. Oh and shoutout to Francis Yeboah, great TA and he's chill!

Lowkey mean and difficult professor. Suuuuuper dry lectures I'm not gonna lie I genuinely fell asleep in every single one for at least some part of it if not the entire thing. The papers are easy if you pay attention in section. The attendance quizzes are lowkey hella hard for no reason just super hyper specific. You'll be okay. Love my TA.

I didn't have the worst experience because my TA was easy to talk to and a fair grader. However, I could not sit through a single lecture without wanting to pull my hair out. She was nice yet very difficult to pay attention to. The lectures were way too long and boring. If you don't have a deep passion for film, DO NOT take this class.
