CollegeProf. Boscagli really loves what she is teaching and always stay passionate about them. There's always a vitality (of living, loving, and creating) in her speaking. I've taken two classes with her, and I don't think her accent is something to be worried about. Final will have questions about terms covered in the lectures, so do attend them.
no slides, extremely lecture heavy. assigned readings every week and need to read many full books but what she discusses in lecture is most important. at the same time, lecture put me to sleep. 1 midterm 1 final and 1 essay. also heavy on poetry. if you can, find another literature credit class. a hard A to get.
I was super worried about this class and almost dropped it, but I'm so glad I didn't. It can take some time to get used to the lack of slides in addition to the strong accent, but it's not too bad. Go to lecture, read (the texts are amazing), and MAKE A STUDY GROUP!!!!!!! Seriously! Sharing notes and studying together will be a lifesaver
Nowhere to submit assignments on Canvas, so don't forget to email them to her at a random, unclear due date.
Graded by final paper, final, and midterm. So much reading + the no lectures slides + only verbal lecture + thick accent + no canvas posts is a deadly combo if you're not very English-minded. I suggest you go to the lecture even though it isn't mandatory because most of the information/terms/prompts on the exams will come from there.
