This internship will give students an opportunity to work with the UCSB Education Abroad Program office, a very successful campus unit in charge of international education. Students will receive hands-on professionalization experience, and at the same time they will be able to reflect critically about their own experience in international education, also as a way to help other students.

Collegelectures were okay. the readings were super excessive. I recommend talking to your TA more because they can help you with your paper. One midterm, one 8 page paper, and one final. I ain't Asian, and I was scared of this class at first, but at the end, it wasn't thaaaattt bad. It was fairly interesting.
Unnecessarily long 8 page paper with no grading criteria. He does not answer questions in class (says its on the syllabus or that he answered it earlier when he didn't), and it is difficult to study for the midterm and final because they do not provide a study guide. The workload and grading is relatively excessive for a ge class.
He is probably one of the most interesting professors you will meet on campus. He's Italian, but he speaks fluent Japanese and English! He's very passionate about EACS department and religion. Go to office hours if you are confused about anything he's really nice about explaining the text. He knows his stuff!
Teaches the Japanese portion of EACS4A. Lectures are interesting & do a great job of clarifying the reading. The class is great & requires mandatory section participation, an 8-pg paper, 1 midterm, 1 final (exams include ID's, essays). Listen carefully when he lectures: he speaks fast sometimes, & elaborates on details that aren't on the slides.
Rambelli is really entertaining and clearly interested in the subject. This class is totally doable, with a written midterm and final and an 8 page paper. The course isn't enthralling but the professors do a great job of trying to make it interesting and helping students master the concepts. Recommend it for a writing GE.
Lectures are selected excerpts from the week's readings, where he ties it all together. Choose-your-own research paper and an easy midterm if you grasp the concepts, no final! Overall awesome teacher, interesting accent.
