He totally makes this class an easy way to get a GE. Take him, two papers that are one page, just do some of the reading and his tests are online, multiple choice.

One of the best and nicest professors at UCSB. He understands that most students are taking this class for GE reqs so he tries his best to make it stress-free. Very clear grading rubric. The material is interesting. He provides really thorough and helpful study "checklists" that match exactly what shows up on the exams.

Dr. Gallucci is the best professor at UCSB. I really enjoyed his class. He is an amazing lecturer and storyteller. I look forward to the lectures. His grading criteria is clear and he really cares about the student's success. I learned so much about Greek Mythology. I can't wait to take more classes with him. UCSB is very lucky to have him.

CLAS036 . Gallucci R 13 Years Ago

Gallucci is very straight forward, very clear, very approachable, and very easy. Lectures can be a bit dry but tests are M/C, papers are super short, and there's no surprises on what he covers. You could probably do just fine if you missed a handful of classes, but I caught them all because they're fun to sit in.

A little dull, often late for class. However, very forgiving and friendly. Deeply interested in his topics. There are better professors in this department from my experience, but his classes can be worthwhile if you're the kind of person that is fine with writing a bit.

May not be an exciting lecturer but he's very sweet and loves his students. This class is just him sitting in front and going through each of the books we are required to read. He is very helpful with the midterm and final. Class website has EVERYTHING you need for studying. Good class for G.E.
