CollegeBoddy is such an amazing professor who is knowledgeable and passionate about the stuff she teaches. This course is so interesting and I honestly wish it was longer. Lecture is optional but I always went because I loved the content. Online midterm and final + occasional hws. No textbook, everything is based off of articles and research papers.
Great prof! If you are anth or bio, I recommend taking. She is so knowledgeable and kind to students. Format of the class makes it easy to succeed, and her lectures prepare you well for HW and online exams. Wish she taught more classes!
Dr. Boddy is AWESOME!! She is passionate about her research and does well incorperating it into the lectures. She makes it interesting and engaging. Few hw assignments, easy weekly reading quizzes help you stay caught up with reading, and the final was an unessay which was basically a fun, creative project! If you have a chance, take her class!!!
Amazing professor who cares about the students. LECTURES: 2x weekly super interesting topics, easy to follow and she makes it fun/relevant and a flexible participation policy (iclicker) HW: not many. always short answer Qs that consolidate main ideas from that weeks lecture. EXAM: scantron w very clear questions and easy answers. no tricks
What a lovely lady. She's super well-respected in the field and helped us through the crisis by remaining calm and always knowing what the right thing to do was. She's kind, intelligent, and an amazing professor, and she does everything you can to make sure you know enough to get a good grade.
Amazing, intelligent, and inspiring instructor. I've taken two classes with Dr. Boddy, and they have been two of the best classes I've taken at UCSB. Her lectures are interesting and engaging, and her assignments/tests logically follow the material you are taught. She is also very accessible and kind.
