great personality, horrible organization on gauchospace.
Professor Vertiz was my favorite professor. She is incredibly nice, caring, and compassionate towards her students. She really wants to help you as an individual. As for the class itself, it was pretty easy, she does not grade too hard and there is at least one writing due per week, but she makes it easy to understand and complete. Overall great!
So she's a great professor and really cares for her students, however, her classes aren't very structured or clear which leaves students confused most of the time. I feel like my writing didn't improve and it felt like a lot of busy work tbh. If you want an easy writing class take this but it won't really help you. Weekly essays but not hard.
Prof Vertiz did a good job adjusting to online classes so suddenly. I enjoyed the class. There are a lot of papers but it is a writing class so it was expected. She is pretty lenient with grading but will give good feedback. Readings were usually short and straight forward.
LOVE HER! She was so kind and passionate. All the readings she gave were short but really interesting. I feel like I totally improved as a writer.
So great with feedback and teaching!
