Absolutely amazing. I wish I could take all my courses under Prof Scudder. She is so organized and loves what she teaches. Go to lecture, listen, study some and you'll do great!
I loved Dr. Scudder with a passion, not joking. She is great at explaining difficult topics and making them so simple. Also her 2sided papers she allows during the exam are life savers, great for studying too. You can copy down anything you'd like on there as long as it fits! She is by far the best professor i've had at UCSB, definitely recommend.
She was the best professor I had thus far. She makes really hard concepts super easy to understand. If you show up to class and are engaged, you will definitely do well. She sets the class up for success, and her tests are super fair. She was really amazing, and I would love to take another one of her classes.
A truly wonderful professor that created an exceptional class! Lectures were a little fast but they were recorded. The ULAs were a perfect addition that really got me involved in the class. Dr. Scudder is a gem-- her passion for biopsych and teaching shows! Her grading system works in your favor as well.
Dr. Scudder is a very engaging and informative lecturer with a clear passion for her field and large base of knowledge regarding it. She has very straightforward exams based off of lecture content and her content is both very accessible and genuinely interesting, and is made easier to understand through real life examples. Very highly recommend!
Such a great and passionate professor. This quarter she had lots of ULAs which helped me have more access to help outside of class. Lots of material covered but she posts the slides as well as a recording of the lecture which is helpful. Weekly quizzes are helpful as are practice exams. One writing assignment which wasn't too bad.
