CollegeHe is one of the best professors in the department! He explains the material very well in his lectures and has a lot of knowledge. You can get a good grade as long as you study.
It's nice to have a class where the professor truly wants you to get a good grade. Every step of the way he makes it easy to make up your grade or do better. The final was out of 115 points but he grades it out of 100. Dr. J is very nice. That said, if I could give him a difficulty of 0 I would. The class was not challenging in the slightest.
It was difficult to understand him sometimes during lecture because of his accent, but he is a very nice prof and very good at teaching the material as well. Lectures can be kind of difficult to follow sometimes, but the book is extremely helpful. Super generous exam curves, would take again if I could.
Great professor! Attending lectures is very very important as a couple midterm/final problems pop up from there. All hw is from the online textbook. Don't worry if you find yourself lost after lecture, just do the homework and then review the lecture notes and you'll be good. And he curves heavily at the end if you didn't do too well (i would know)
Extremely fair professor. No lecture notes / recordings so you should attend, and honestly I often left confused.. but homework was always doable and midterm and final were very similar. Midterm was out of 36 but curved to be out of 30, final was out of 110 but curved to be out of 100. 30% HW 30% midterm 40% final. Pretty sure curved at the end too
Extremely intelligent guy who really knows his stuff. Exams are fair and correlated to material discussed and homework. If you have the chance to take a class of his, do it!
