CollegeMike was a very good lecturer, and overall just a positive person. He taught his part (plant phys) of 1B well, and the exams we had on them were fair and related to what we had covered in class. He was also very accessible outside of class. He responded to emails quickly, which was really helpful whenever I had specific questions.
Mike creates a very strong and encouraging learning environment. He provides you with all the materials to lead you to success. Rewatch his lectures multiple times and do all the practice problems he gives. Really engage and try to learn during section. Content was 50% new and 50% MCDB 1A so it was easier to learn.
He's ok. Sometime it felt like he would oversimplify concepts to the point where it felt like we were just memorizing things. It would have been nice to go into a little more detail on certain topics.
Dr. Wilton is amazing. His lectures are very clear and he's here to help you.
his lectures covered a lot of material but they were so engaging and well done that it still was manageable. he posted lecture videos and the homework was very similar to lectures so it wasn't too hard. his tests were kind of difficult but if you went to lecture and studied his notes he made during lectures they weren't too hard. awesome professor
He has been one of my favorite professors here at UCSB, and he is not only an amazing lecturer but is also genuinely deeply invested in the success of all of his students. The course is truly designed to maximize the amount of student success, and I would recommend this class to anyone who is slightly interested in the subject matter.
