Faculty led seminar focusing on graduate student research in various fields of specialization within Economics. Students will typically produce a research draft each quarter. Second year students will be required to produce a formal written proposal for a research paper, which will be evaluated and enforced within the working group structure. Proposal must clearly articulate a research question of interest and the methodological approach. Written proposals must receive a passing grade (B or above) no later than the end of winter quarter of the second year.

class isnt really useful, make sure you do old exams and you'll be fine
Wrote a ridiculously hard final. Got 80% and 100% on the midterms so I was okay, but seemed like the FRQ questions on our final were harder than almost any of the previous tests available for practice. Make sure to do well on midterm 1, everything after that is much harder.
The final sucked the soul out of my body after getting 8/10 and 10/10 on the midterms. Hope the professor or the department is going to do something about it. Nothing like the practice ones; no cost minimization, no utility maximizing, and no profit maximizing-- just pure random word vomit from the depths of some forbidden problem bank.
10A is difficult no mater what, but I really liked how he has sooo many practice exams to go through. If you do all of them twice and you are confident on the practice exams there is no reason you can't pass this class. You just gotta put it the time cause about half of you will fail so take that class seriously.
Econ 10 with him wasn't as hard as people make it seem. Midterms aren't bad if you study and put in the work. Lectures weren't that boring and tried to interact with the students.
Bro is actually so funny
