He's honestly a very nice professor all he wants is for his students to be engaged in the material he teaches. Literature is hard for me to understand so I often looked up YouTube videos or explanations on google. His assigned readings are really interesting and his TA's are very nice. As a STEM student I'd take this class again.

Professor just talked about random things in lecture and was difficult to understand as he mumbles. Just skip lecture to study the material on your own, the only thing that matters is your TA

Very light reading for this class, the class was mostly graded on midterm (40%) and final (45%) but if you read the content and listen in section, they're not difficult. He is very passionate and will sometimes ramble in lecture but HIGHLY recommend for STEM students, he is very knowledgable about the technology described in the content.

so passionate about kafka. if you like kafka and do the readings, you will enjoy his lectures a lot. no work outside of class other than reading. grade is attendance, midterm, and final. exams are very fair, just timed writings (3-5 questions). easy if you do the readings and pay attention in lectures. loved the class overall!

I could not understand the professor during lectures. It was really confusing what information I should actually know. For me, there was too much reading. I didn't particularly enjoy the topics either.

I took this class because I already love Kafka and wouldn't recommend if you don't. Attend lectures, take notes, study for exams, and do the readings! Kittler is very passionate and silly. Tested on pretty specific things in an in class midterm and in class final.
