CollegeI had Popescu for Phys 1, 2, and 3. Her video lectures for Phys 1 and 2 were really well-made: informative and concise. I found her in person lectures to be hard to follow at times due to the difficult material so you really have to pay attention. She offers a lot of extra credit so it shouldn't be too hard to do well in her classes.
Made all her tests online including the final (no midterm). Weekly tests were 6-question quizzes while the final had about 10 questions, part mc part frq and did not need the entire 3 hours.17 question Pearson homework every week that made up a big part of the grade, overall pretty easy professor with easy-to-understand lectures.
Based on past reviews, she seems to have found her stride as a lecturer because she was very clear about the material and what was to be expected on the exams. The practice tests are very similar to the actual ones. She's also very understanding and made the final optional during the middle of all the coronavirus chaos.
Professor Popescu was sweet and a reasonably good lecturer. Sometimes the things she said werent super clear but a lot of it was the nature of the course. She has to slowly figure out how to make her exams because the first had an average of 88 and second an average of 68. She will probably be a solid Professor down the road but is still learning.
Her lectures are just amazing and very useful, and exams are kind of challenging, however, with practice exams finished , you can get a good grade basically. We just had a amazing quarter!
Phys 6CL was not bad, and the experiments were pretty interesting. Some of the prelabs are kind of long, so get ready for that. My TA was a really lenient grader, which was nice.
