She teaches nothing in class and you have to understand everything on your own and then write those tough work. If you want to get a really GPA, you are welcomed to take this class.

I think Andrea is an excellent writing teacher. She responded to my emails very promptly. And she gave a high score for writing. In Essay2, I got 98 points. I love her teaching. Don't switch professors because of previous bad reviews.

Her course content is interesting, but she is very strict in grading. I spent more time studying than any other writing class, but I only got an A-.

Kind and elegant. Went to her office hour and had an unforgettable conversation. It requires efforts if you want to do well in her class .But it's not that tough compared to other linguistics professors I've heard of. Would definitely recommend.

Andrea's class is so helpful. She expect us to work hard and is very fair grader. I went to office hours and she spends a lot of time working with me individually. I learnt a lot of styles I didn't learn in other linguistic classes, so it was really helpful. I was bored about the other Ling classes but this one was fun because Andrea is passionate.

I tried my best and I went to all her office hours. She barely helped and was quite rude to the non-american speakers. She was very arrogant and expected the students to know already. Save yourself and do not take this class
