CollegeOne of my favorite professors at UCSB, inspired me to minor in German as well! Prof Ben is super funny and an excellent teacher, genuinely cares about you learning and gentle parents when your German is bad. Must attend class almost 4/5 days of the week but it's part of the learning process. Never a dull moment.
This man is in my dream blunt rotation. At the very end of the quarter, I had a beer with him and discussed living in German speaking countries. Ben taught Deutsch in a way that made me ready to learn and glad to be there.
amazing experience! he's so funny and really cares about his students. attendance is mandatory but he makes it so fun and he regularly buys us coffee + donuts etc. a lot of love both ways with this guy. easily one of my closest relationships with a professor. he also is super helpful with additional resources for german learning. highly recommend!
Ben is a super easygoing professor, makes class engaging and fun, and he's very caring and nice. His teaching skills are great, he's always enthusiastic.
I took Ben's class after 4 classes with Anna, and he was great. He keeps the class very engaged and is very open to talk with students so that's fun. He is very receptive to feedback and patient when a student is confused. He follows the dept's class layout so it's nothing surprising in that sense, but he's not *as* strict as some other professors.
