This online course presented as an adventure game introduces students to the art and archaeology of Rome, with assignments that focus on writing and the research process. The course asks students to determine whether or not a collection of ancient objects from an American museum should remain in the US or be sent back to Italy. Throughout the course, students excavate artifacts at a digital dig site, visit museums, explore Roman monuments, and navigate the shadowy world of the tombaroli (tomb robbers) and mafia-run black market for antiquities.

CollegeA very nice professor to have for the required writing 2 class. Talk to him if you have any problems and he will gladly help you. Grading is fairly lenient. 3 essay total for the class. Going to CLAS will also get you extra credit. Really recommend this professor.
Thoroughly enjoyed this professor. Hes very engaging with the students and designs the class around opinions and discussions without forcing students to be overwhelmingly interactive. The atmosphere was very comforting and the class provided opportunities to explore your ideas in a way that was very relaxed, but enriching.
Such a genuine person. Recommend taking any of his courses if given the chance. Always left his class in a better mood and never felt overwhelmed by the work load. 10/10
