Although she was good at explaining things in a way the students would understand, she would use a lot of profanity during her sections which got to a point. She was also a bit of passive aggressive and would pick on people during section.

She's a great TA who is funny, caring, wants you to succeed in this class and give you many opportunities to do so just communicate with her and she'll try to accommodate to your needs.

It's very obvious that Janna really cares about both the material and her students. She can be a pretty tough grader and sometimes can be unclear as to what exactly she is looking for. That being said she offers great feedback and is always willing to offer extensions and speak with students. Be prepared to do your work and you should be fine.

HIST9 . 1 Year, 1 Day Ago

Janna is absolutely wonderful in this class, making it very easy for students to understand historical methodology and writing through her humor and relatability. Her assignments were constructed in a way that forces you to prepare for your final paper, making the whole process at the end of the quarter relatively pain free and less stressful.

You can really tell that Ms. Haider puts a lot of effort into her lectures and is incredibly knowledgable on the content area she teaches. She clearly holds leftists viewpoints, which isn't bad obviously, but as an educator, I think that she should at least try to be a bit more discreet about her personal take on things. Still recommend though !!!
