CollegeHighly recommend! This class was a great refresher on professional communication and a significant portion is a group business plan which can be very interesting.
Krut was the perfect professor for this course. Grading included various major assignments (40%), participation (25%), and the group business plan (30%). Lectures had a lot of great information and the group project is easy to tackle if you have solid group members. Krut is always available to assist with any assignments which was helpful.
I had this class at 8 AM TR but I would have come even if attendance wasn't mandatory. Bob is hilarious and he makes writing super enjoyable (which I thought was nearly impossible being a statistics major). If you finish all the assignments, listen in class, and complete your final project, you should have no problem getting an A. Highly recommend!
not helpful at all. good luck
Bob is one of the best professors I have ever had. He is super helpful and gives great feedback. The assignments in the class are relevant and have immediate application in the job search and developing professionalism. A large portion of final grading consisted of a business proposal group project, but the breakdown is fair. I would recommend him.
Bob is hands down the best professor I've had at UCSB! He is crystal clear with his assignments and expectations, a reasonable grader, and is always there for questions and feedback. He breaks down projects nicely so they don't seem too daunting. He will certainly improve your writing, even if you are already a solid writer. Take him if you can!!
