A very nice sensei, both in and out of class. Details are given on words, paragraphs and grammar points. Interesting projects. Rather easy to take good grade if well-prepared.

Very nice sensei. I took her class for 3 times. She takes care of all students needs in class. She explains the topics well. Would definitely continue taking her class

Yamauchi sensee is the best prof I've ever had in UCSB. Her lecture is really organized and interesting. She is generous in grading. Highly recommend her class.

She's very cheerful and always willing to help students outside of class. Emphasis is placed on speaking skills as well as grammar and vocab. However, the oral exams are rare and relatively easy. She really makes the class fun. It's the only class I've looked forward to going to this quarter.

Yamauchi sensei genuinely cares about teaching kids japanese. Makes class interesting by having a good sense of humor and will practice one on one japanese with you in office hours. Only class i never ditched. Cant commend her enough!

Yamauchi Sensei is awesome. I've had her for Japanese 3, 5, and 120. She is so sweet, helpful, funny, understanding, and adorably Japanese. She really wants to help you understand !
