CollegeHer class is very enjoyable as it is a smaller discussion set class. She assigns 8 novels, but are pretty short and interesting reads. There is a midterm and final with IDs and a final paper. She is extremely funny and silly and willing to help you out in and outside of class. Extremely knowledgeable and makes you think deeply about the texts.
Boscagli is an absolute treasure. Everything she says is of substance, and makes you think deeply about the reading. Not an English major, but she changed how I viewed literature and art. When she gave me good feedback on my midterm I cried because I have never been praised so genuinely and kindly by a professor. Cannot recommend her more.
I took two classes with Professor Boscgali this summer session and I am so glad that I had the opportunity to be her student. She is really kind, thoughtful, and engaging with her students and if you come to her with any concerns she is always willing to hear you out and be understanding. Her class consists of passage IDs, paper, and a presentation
no slides, extremely lecture heavy. assigned readings every week and need to read many full books but what she discusses in lecture is most important. at the same time, lecture put me to sleep. 1 midterm 1 final and 1 essay. also heavy on poetry. if you can, find another literature credit class. a hard A to get.
I was super worried about this class and almost dropped it, but I'm so glad I didn't. It can take some time to get used to the lack of slides in addition to the strong accent, but it's not too bad. Go to lecture, read (the texts are amazing), and MAKE A STUDY GROUP!!!!!!! Seriously! Sharing notes and studying together will be a lifesaver
Nowhere to submit assignments on Canvas, so don't forget to email them to her at a random, unclear due date.
