RS106 . Braunstein E 3 Years Ago

One of my favorite teachers at UCSB. She was the sweetest professor and had fascinating lectures. The quizzes were pretty easy, just work off of the slides for the text identification. The only difficult thing in the class was the amount of readings that she gave. They are very dense and take a little while to understand. Would take again!

Didn't know what I was getting myself into, but was glad that the reading was all we talked about during lectures

Eva's great! 106 can be reading heavy and is very philosophical/theoretical, and her reading questions seem like extra work but they help to get the main points of the readings and actually save you time so you can skip the unimportant stuff. She's super friendly and is always available and approachable for help/discussion. 1 midterm 1 final paper.

Braunstein is super enthusiastic and very approachable. The course material for RS106 does not match how I interpreted the course description, it is very theoretical and philosophical. This class was very challenging for me (I am not a religious studies major) but I did learn a lot and Braunstein was understanding and helpful

WRITING2 . Braunstein E 3 Months Ago

Dr. Braunstein is a helpful, understanding, and overall lovely teacher. She gives great advice on how to improve on your essays, and I believe every piece of reading she assigned helped me become a better writer. However, this class does require self discipline and consistency! Expect to write about two 500-word essays per week and attend class.

Relatively easy grader but heavy workload will be expected, remember to read her feedback from major writing projects.
