CollegeOne of the hardest UD classes for comm majors at UCSB, but take this class. He is amazing at what he does and cares so much. Tells jokes all the time and is super easy to talk to. 3 quizes that are hard but if you dont do well you can still pass. I LOVE RICE!!!!!!
The best Prof I have ever had. Take his class!!! He is super kind and makes the most boring subject into a fun day. He is super smart and teaches super well. 3 quizes that if you fail won't kill your grade. Hard subject but worth it because this class will help you with your other comm classes. I will be trying to take another class with him!
Such a nice professor who genuinely cares about students. Heavy lectures/readings, both on the 3 quizzes (no midterm/final). He provides sample stems; only 1/4-2/3 appear on the quiz. Fall medians: Quiz 1: 72%, Quiz 2: 67%, Quiz 3: 70.1%; course median: 84.45%. No curve or extra credit. Great professor, but performance outcomes are concerning.
He is the best professor, always cracking jokes and gives interesting lectures. Lectures can be a little confusing if you miss class. There were 3 multiple-choice exams that you will do good on if you do all of the sample stems. There were small assignments for credit and two that were in-class exercises with a group but super easy.
Took his course for comm credit and loved it. As someone who skips classes that arent mandatory i actually wanted to show up to this one. Hes super funny and makes a lot of dad jokes, would definitely take another class with him.
One of my fav profs I've had at UCSB. He's very precise No midterm or final, just 3 "quizzes" (33 questions) that are 16% of your grade each on scantrons, and 3 assignments. He has direct questions that will be on the quizzes. As long as u review his sample stems you'll do good on the quizzes. make sure you reread his instructions very thoroughly.
