This graduate and senior seminar explores the historical and contemporary issues surrounding race and ethnicity in political contexts. We explore how race and ethnicity are approached in the subfields of political science (i.e., behavioral, normative, and institutional, among other approaches). The class has an American focus but also draws upon global literature on how racial and ethnic politics are organized and approached.
