CollegeProfessor Henderson was so fun. His classes were always entertaining. It is a lot of reading, and you must submit notes twice a week with a minimum of 1200 words based on readings. It can be a lot, but it's not that bad. Final is a fun project. Weekly reflections. Need to participate in Canvas posts and class. You rate ur own participation. Easy A.
Prepare to do lots of readings and engage in class. But Jarett is one of my fav profs at UCSB bc he genkunely cares about students and enjoys teaching. he's very personable and i recommend getting to know him!
Jarrett is an awesome lecturer! He makes the information interesting and digestible, and the workload was totally reasonable and manageable. TAs always deducted a few points from every assignment, which was frustrating. But attend class, participate in section, and earn easy points from completion-based assignments and you'll be fine.
Clearly very passionate, great guy. Very iclicker heavy, section attendance and participation matters as it is part of your grade. No midterms and optional final that can only increase your grade. 3 labs, sections up til week 7 are reading heavy. Grades may also be TA dependent which kind of sucks. Overall fair class and it's not bad. Recommended.
Professor Jarett was a great. Loved taking his class and it was super chill and easy. Stay on top of the section readings and lecture notes. He does give his TA's a lot of power when grading. My TA, Christmas, was so bad. Her grading was horrible and feedback was little to none. However, Jarett was awesome and super passionate about his teachings.
Honestly one of the best professors I got this quarter. He is very chill. Yeah there's a lot of reading to do, but it's a history class, of course there is. Overall cool guy, great TAs, good lectures, would take again.
