Easy GE for area G

Nice guy, easy class, and he is very clear on his grading. You can truly do the bare minimum to get an A but he is a real sweet professor so if you are inclined to put more effort, I'm sure it's rewarding

Clear and easy contract grading method is the only good thing about this class. It is an easy A if you do all your work on time. Attendance is "mandatory" but there's no incentive to go, so I started skipping by Week 3. He didn't like that people did this and stopped posting his slides. Nice guy tho.

Capettini broke grading down into "bundles," so it was really up to the students what grade they wanted, based on which "bundle" they chose (consisted of how many sections you needed to attend, quizzes you had to take, completion of the paper, etc.). No midterm, no final, just an overarching paper. Loved him, great class, very passionate.

Spring 2025. I think he said he borrowed another prof's grading rubric, but the class itself was a light course load. Very clear and achievable to get an A. Once Capettini noticed people stopped showing, he stopped posting slides online. He is a great lecturer, and his passion on the subject is admirable and makes the class material fun to learn.

Professor Capettini is extremely knowledgeable and invested in the success of his students. If you do your homework and go to lecture, you will do well.
