This seminar showcases how writers, philosophers, and artists think and write about animals. The course is invested in interdisciplinary investigations of animals and human-animal relationships by exploring what a humanistic approach can bring to the study of animals. Class participation consists of short reading and writing assignments, a field trip to observe animals, and seminar discussion.
