CollegeTough grading, and a ton of homework.
Too much homework, feels like you are in high school. They need to be very clear from the start what kind and form of Spanish are you teaching, Spain, Mexico, or Portugal. It's a mix of all these three which makes no sense. Some have taken Spanish in high school, thus get confused which country or dialect are you speaking. Need more professionalism
She does not follow the syllabus at all. Came up with a surprise final at the end that wasn’t listed under the syllabus. Doesn’t provide feedback on grading. Also graded everything til the very last minute. Would assign homework randomly with one day windows to do them. Unforgiving for make up work. Overall very disorganized and inflexible.
She said I was supposed to use APA citation, even though I had used MLA formatting for everything prior without consequence. After scouring the course site, I did not find any evidence whatsoever that we were supposed to use APA. Please, do not take this professor; you will be humiliated and shocked.
Personally, this course was not difficult for me, but I put 3 because overall it was for others. She is condescending and lacks compassion! She does not provide good enough feedback on homework. She tells you to read again and look at the lectures when you ask her a question, even though she literally asks if we have questions. DO NOT TAKE HER!
Amazing prof. Actually cares about students. You have to participate if you want to pass. Heavy reading and tough grader. If you don't understand something, ask because everyone else is confused. Tough class but she tries her hardest to make it easy. Grade made up from participation, HW, quizzes, midterm and final. YOU HAVE TO READ TO PASS!!!!!
