CollegeProfessor Taylor was a great professor. Her lectures were clear and easy to follow. There were seven (time consuming but easy) assignments and the expectations were made clear. Feedback was helpful and if you follow it you should improve. Lots of reading and weekly quizzes but the guiding questions are really helpful if you look over them.
Professor Taylor knows the work she assigns is extremely stress inducing and UNREASONABLE but she does not care. She loves to hear herself talk, gives extremely boring lectures, 1 assignment a week that takes hours. Before even being done with an assignment she'll start talking about the next one. Leaving all students confused and stressed.
Fall 2021. I was nervous bc we use STATA which is statistical software but Taylor made STATA fun and interesting. She is passionate about statistics and it is easy to follow along with her lectures, very organized and engages students to participate in class. Quizzes online each week were easy. The assignments were not bad especially with TA help
The writing assignments in this class were a huge pain. Not only were they harshly graded, but got zero feedback. I had to keep bugging the ta to give me feedback on why I got points off?? Follows a weird version of ASA formatting. Quiz questions contradict the reading if you can even access the readings. Repetitive weekly assignments.
She has so much knowledge to offer and it was such an interesting course to take! I do think that the units material had a lot of work, but the quizzes + discussions were easy points. The 3 papers were fine as long as you carefully follow the instructions. She ended up giving us extra credit too, I definitely recommend taking her!
Nothing to complain about for the lectures, although a bit repetitive. The discussion posts and quizzes are easy points as long as you do them. However, the difficulty of this course comes with the grading of the three writing assignments. Prof. Taylor claims they are graded harsher to compensate for the easiness of the weekly assignments.
