A survey of the development of Jewish Law from the times of the Bible, through the Dead Sea Scrolls, New Testament, Rabbinic Literature, and medieval literature. The main emphasis in this course will be the development of Jewish Law in Judaism throughout history, raising questions of continuity and change.

Prerequisites: Upper-division standing.
