CollegeI thought that Prof. Abuzaid was a very good professor and because of that I was able to easily understand the concepts for PSTAT 120B. His lecture slides with the annotations are super helpful because doing the examples from the slides as well as doing the homework made it easy to understand. We had 3 quizzes and he dropped the lowest 2.
Professor was very nice, cared about students. 3 quizzes, 1 midterm, 1 final, highest quiz was kept. HW every week but was max 10 or so problems. Lectures were long but provided good material. If you study the lectures and homework, you'll do well on the exams.
The course content was challenging, but Prof. Abuzaid was very supportive. The course was well-structured, following a clear routine with 3 quizzes (with the best score counted). The homework was lengthy but valuable for understanding the concepts. If you can complete the homework and practice exams thoroughly, the exams should feel fair.
Nice guy with reasonable quizzes/exams, posts all HW solutions and lecture notes (which are pretty good) on Canvas. Unfortunately, thick accent makes him hard to follow during lecture. The annotated notes helped me more than his actual explanations.
amazing teacher, super compassionate and responds to emails quickly. i felt as though the midterms were fair and the final project helped me learn alot + boosted my grade. it was hard, but definitely doable with some work. i really enjoyed having Abuzaid as a professor and I learned a lot about linear regression as well.
Professor Abuzaid is extremely helpful and a very fair professor! I enjoyed taking his class, and appreciate the time and effort he took explaining the reasoning behind every concept.
