CollegeHe is a patient and nice teacher. His midterm was simple and straightforward once you prepared the questions in the ppt. And his final was a bit hard but he graded it in fine way.
Amazing professor that cares, and gives you plenty of options to pass the class and help you study. Great professor and would recommend!
Although the material in PSTAT120B was challenging, prof was top tier. The most patient, accommodating, and caring teacher at UCSB. He answers emails very quickly. When I struggled in the course, he did everything he could in order to help me succeed and be at the place I wanted to be in the class. 100/10 recommend him. He's seriously the best.
I thought that Prof. Abuzaid was a very good professor and because of that I was able to easily understand the concepts for PSTAT 120B. His lecture slides with the annotations are super helpful because doing the examples from the slides as well as doing the homework made it easy to understand. We had 3 quizzes and he dropped the lowest 2.
Professor was very nice, cared about students. 3 quizzes, 1 midterm, 1 final, highest quiz was kept. HW every week but was max 10 or so problems. Lectures were long but provided good material. If you study the lectures and homework, you'll do well on the exams.
The course content was challenging, but Prof. Abuzaid was very supportive. The course was well-structured, following a clear routine with 3 quizzes (with the best score counted). The homework was lengthy but valuable for understanding the concepts. If you can complete the homework and practice exams thoroughly, the exams should feel fair.
