CollegeShe's great, cares about her students, responds to emails, open minded. She provides clear feedback on the work you turn in and is actually passionate about writing. Weekly assignments are not too hard but the essays can be a little time consuming. Lectures are never boring. I definitely feel like a better writer after taking this class.
Mrs. Vertiz has been one of the professors I've had so far at UCSB. She is one of the most genuine, caring, and thoughtful teachers I know. Her work was not too hard at all, and she allowed a 2 day grace period for every assignment past the due date. She is so accommodating and flexible, and I genuinely hope that I can have her as a teacher again.
LOVE HER! She was so kind and passionate. All the readings she gave were short but really interesting. I feel like I totally improved as a writer.
great personality, horrible organization on gauchospace.
So great with feedback and teaching!
Professor Vertiz was my favorite professor. She is incredibly nice, caring, and compassionate towards her students. She really wants to help you as an individual. As for the class itself, it was pretty easy, she does not grade too hard and there is at least one writing due per week, but she makes it easy to understand and complete. Overall great!
