Similar to what the other review said, Professor Morris REALLY knows Journalism, and she really does push you to do your best. Her feedback on writing is very helpful, and I feel like I really have grown stronger as a writer. I also agree that it is a fair amount of work, but not too much where you will be stressed out.

Super knowledgeable professor. Would sometimes go on tangents, but overall I learned a lot about PR and feel like a much better writer. You have the freedom to write about any company you're passionate about, which was fun. Also learned a bit about design and graphics. Not too much work, I would take her class again.

prof williams was great and she really cared about developing the students' writing. the class could be a lot of work at times, but the material was super interesting so it never felt overwhelming! writ107m has been my favorite class at ucsb so far. definitely recommend if you're interested in magazine writing or just creative writing in general!

Professor Morris knows Journalism. She doesn't take BS and will push you to do your best. Having her as a teacher made me grow as a writer and I would only recommend taking her classes if you genuinely want to be challenged and pushed. It's a fair amount of work and she can be tough so be prepared.

RUN FAR AWAY. She ALWAYS went off on a tangent. Literally one girl asked a question and she spent the entire class answering it ToT. The due dates were confusing, her class was unorganized. She didn't follow her own course schedule, didn't even explain the assignments. Don't take her class ToT

taking this class showed me why PR is a dying industry. lecture = unorganized rambling. you'll wish you had a clone to sit in for you. if someone asks a question she'll talk about 5 other different things for 20 minutes to answer. reading responses have confusing due dates (she acknowledged this and changed stuff around, so that's good at least).
