Really great professor. Very chill class but still passionate about what she teaches-perfect for an 8am. Projects were easy and felt useful (making a LinkedIn, resume). Gives great feedback as well. Grading is super fair.

She is passionate about what she teaches, and really brings up the mood for a 9am class. Your grade is based on multiple projects/assignments throughout the quarter, but all of them were relatively interesting and fun. I took this class for the A2 requirement but I wish I could take another one of her classes again!

I enjoyed this class and I'm glad I took it with Dr. Propen. She gave amazing feedback on all assignments and offered a ton of resources for students to use. Grading included short GS posts, resume + document design + infographic projects, and a final online portfolio. I recommend this class if you want hands-on experience with design!

She was a total sweetheart and I loved her class. I took Writ for Sustainability with her, and I wasn't sure what to expect. The class ended up really helping me develop ideas about the narratives we create around my field. I would describe class as mellow, engaging, and conversational. I always looked forward to it :)

Very caring professor, gave good feedback throughout the quarter's assignments; I grew a lot as a writer. Workload is fair throughout and overall she made class a fun interactive experience, but chill enough that it was perfect for an 8AM. Would recommend for A2 requirement. Just make sure you're not blindsided by pop-reading quizzes!

Professor Propen is one of my favorite professors so far at UCSB. She's not the most charismatic, but is genuinely caring and offers constructive criticism that help students do better on multimedia assignments. Very mellow class, perfect for 8ams
