picks challenging but great songs for chamber. also having dr. B play our rehearsals makes this group a very professional experience. can't wait for our tour!
Strong musician with poor directing skills. Brent has a rather untraditional method of conducting a choir (no voice matching, no sectionals, no student leadership). For a no-audition choir, he moves quickly-- difficult if you are new to music, but easy if you have experience. Overall, very down-to-earth director but disappointing for UCSB music.
Choral conducting was awesome. I learned so much about musicianship in one term. Approachable teacher and makes extra effort to assist outside of class.
