fairly predictable tests... will be fine if you pay attention in class. homework assignments are easy. basically, its a chilled class with fun people.

Not designed well for students from Chinese 1-6. This class combines NH students with the 1-6 and is very obviously tailored toward the needs of the NH students. This leaves the 1-6 kids behind and there is not extra accommodation to fix the discrepancy between fluency among students. The class itself is fine but the homework content isn't taught.

Prof. Guan is incredibly caring & he's an engaging lecturer. Attendance is mandatory since it's part of your grade. It's relatively easy to do well in the class. I enjoyed going to class since he always tells fun anecdotes!

He is literally so sweet and kind. I lowkey stopped going to class and even though I skipped class for a month I still am doing well because he lets you make up basically everything even if the syllabus says no and doesnt give you a hard time. Hes a very pleasant presence to be around and is very laidback.
