If you do the assignments and go to section, you can easily get an A. Attendance wasn't taken during lecture and she posts all the slides on Canvas. There are a couple of in class assignments worth 2 points. If you try on the essays and go to class you will be fine.

An average professor who has a clear structure to her lectures. Slides do not cover everything, so attendance is necessary for this class. Papers and tests cover all of the grades so be prepared to spend time on writing them and studying.

Might be the worst professor I have taken at UCSB. Extremely demeaning. Bad grading. Bad teaching skills. I love the CNCSP series but this professor has singlehandedly ruined it for me. Every other professor I have had in this series was extremely helpful though so this could have just been a fluke.

Her grading criteria was nice, everything was weighted equally at 20%. Theres a midterm and final which have extra credit questions which is helpful, 2 papers, and participation which includes some in class activities but you don't know when they're happening so you have to go. Also offers an extra credit assignment. Very doable with effort.

Professor Felix is a nice person but the way she presents her information is a nightmare to students. She lectures on what she likes to talk about but still tests on the entire book. She is a 'data' person so be ready for loads of graphs and statistics that are unnecessary. The exams are very specific; be ready to memorize loads of arbitrary facts.

Enjoyed her class a lot. I would recommend taking a course with her. She is very passionate with her work and is actually willing to help
