A select ensemble of voice majors and non-majors, the Chamber Choir prepares musicians for professional ensemble work and offers advanced study in choral literature, techniques, styles and interpretation covering five centuries of choral repertoire.

Choir with Brent is so fun! The rep was great and I'm glad I joined
picks great repertoire for choir. also the community is great.
most efficient rehearsals. he gets the maximum effort out of each of his groups. join choir!
Strong musician with poor directing skills. Brent has a rather untraditional method of conducting a choir (no voice matching, no sectionals, no student leadership). For a no-audition choir, he moves quickly-- difficult if you are new to music, but easy if you have experience. Overall, very down-to-earth director but disappointing for UCSB music.
picks challenging but great songs for chamber. also having dr. B play our rehearsals makes this group a very professional experience. can't wait for our tour!
Choral conducting was awesome. I learned so much about musicianship in one term. Approachable teacher and makes extra effort to assist outside of class.
