ME153 . 1 Year, 5 Months Ago

Looking back to the course material and the potential this course had, Professor Laguette was the worst possible lecturer for the job. He is in no way helpful during lectures and office hours. What sells him short the most is that he won't do anything if a member of your project takes advantage of your work. He couldn't care less. Why should I?

The class is largely project based and you really learn what you make of it. If you choose a project you are interested in and work methodically through coming to your final design it is quite beneficial but if you leave it until the end not so much. Laguette is really easy to understand but very monotone and repeats a lot from lecture to lecture

If you go to lectures and all presentations, the only reading you have to do it to solve the hw,which is easy anyway.Class project was fun and fairly easy if you start early enough with your group.

ME189 . 14 Years Ago

Mr. Laguette makes things more difficult than necessary. Getting the ridiculous 189 class requirements to mesh with the project was nearly impossible and we had to compromise the quality of the project for passing the class. All in all I was extremely disappointed in his interference in the project.

although the class covered material that was obvious, the final project was pretty fun and prepares you for your senior project. he gives his students time to drop in for help, and seems to really care about his students. he's a really nice guy, and the class is pretty easy if you attend lecture.

I love this subject but Laguette sucks at teaching it. First of all, he thinks he's the**** but he can't explain****. The only place you learn anything is the book. Not to mention he's not helpful at all during office hours and made the class totally boring and uninteresting even though its an interesting topic
