CollegeAkiyo sensei is a very friendly professor. The course curriculum is straight forward, though for many the class pace is fast. As long as you study for the vocab/Kanji quizzes and really get the Kana alphabets in your head the class is intuitive.
She is such a sweet lady! I really enjoyed her class.
Tsuchiya sensei was awesome. In the beginning when you first meet her she is a little bit scary, but once you spend time with her you realize she is just a wonderful woman and teacher! She wants to see you succeed so she dos put you to the test, but work hard and you will be rewarded! Love her
Akiyo sensei is such an amazing professor. She is always super energized during lectures and does a really good job at encouraging engagement. She's also always happy to answer questions and help clarify anything. The grading criteria was super clear and dates were always made known well in advance. Highly highly recommend.
Had Tsuchiya for J 1-3. Cares a lot about her students, wants them to succeed, and always makes herself available for tutoring, answering questions, and helping both in-person and via email. Japanese has a huge learning curve, yet she made it so much more manageable. Always brought positive energy, humor, and engagement to lectures. Ichiban Sensei!
Seriously a great teacher! She makes me want to go to Japanese class even though it is tough lol. Always encouraging and praising students.
