CollegeClass was not too difficult but it does move quickly. All exams are online in class. There are a few writing assignments with a first and second draft but she does not give clear instructions or feedback(very hard to get above a 95 because of this). Overall not bad but studying will be your best friend.
She was super sweet, you will need to do a decent amount of studying outside of class because the lectures don't fully prepare you for the exams and quizzes in my opinion. But it is an easy class.
Although I did not get an A in the end, but she is one of the best professor that I ever known. Love her. For any Italian courses participation is important.
Professor Borromeo is a kind woman and clearly passionate about teaching but this class was just not it! She assigns multiple projects (individual/group) and her feedback on any work you turn in does not help you improve at all. You learn more from reading the textbook than her presentations. Would not take her class to fulfill the GE requirement.
Grading criteria was unclear, often went on tangents in Italian and expected beginner students to understand, quizzes were strangly formatted, poor feedback on projects, and the structure of the course was subpar.
She has a serious issue with organization to the point where nearly every single day students would come to class complaining. Her documents are inconsistent, the websites/textbooks she uses are chaotic and don't function half the time... etc. Additionally, she literally never goes over pronunciation and just kinda expects students to know it???
