CollegePassionate about science, but confusing lectures (think circular logic). The readings were insanely long, but the topics were interesting. For a freshman seminar, I didn't find it very eye-opening or appealing, but the class is easy enough (2 short essays on a broad topic, and attendance).
Interesting and eyeopening but too much work for 1 unit. Weekly 15+ page wikipedia readings and 2 essays. The actual concepts are interesting if you do the reading. Hard to finish your thought because won't really let you say more than 5 words before he interrupts you. Devout man of God who is passionate about science. Go figure.
Took the freshman seminar, it seemed that he didn't really prepare for most of them and rambled so I didn't really enjoy it and it was kind of boring. The last lecture is good. But the class is easy, you need to show up to all of them to pass. No homework
Class is difficult to understand. There is no smart way to study for his tests, they are primary based on mindless memorization of really specific pathways that do not apply to other pathways. Lectures are unrewarding for tests and so is reading the book. The little homework is helpful but there is little you can do to smartly prepare for tests
