Seemed to look down upon commercial/ industry artists as "lesser" compared to fine artists. Didn't really have any standards for what the students should do to assemble their portfolios for an industry career. The art program at UCSB seems just as outdated.

The worst teacher. He did not teach. He merely worked on his own paintings once the models were set up. He would not give direction, but only criticize. Makes me wonder what qualifies a professor to become a professor.
