CollegeI took Raymond for 108C online during fall 20. Lecture are all async, and they aren't necessary to watch for the class, but I would recommend them anyway because she is super knowledgable and presents super interesting material. Graded on a long project with multiple parts, she gives extremely specific instructions. Readings were mostly interesting
She offers extra credit but she doesn't even give you a rubric for it. Better yet, the point value in comparison to the work required to do the extra credit makes doing it not even worth it. You're not even guaranteed full credit if you do the extra credit too. i.e 10-12 pages work for about 10 pt extra credit max but not even guaranteed.
There were weekly zoom meetings (one day a week). All assignment except the final were group projects but fairly easy. Professor creates an engaging class despite the fact it's online. I would recommend her class!
very easy class
I was nervous to take Elena's class after reading reviews. Personally, I had a great experience. The weekly group projects are simple, as long as you have a good group. She is very accommodating and kind. She genuinely wants her students to succeed.
She was OK. Lectures were kinda boring, so the class felt SUPER long, but she was kind of funny. Weekly group projects and meetings which I personally did not like. TA was a harsh grader despite neither of them being accessible whatsoever or clear. Reached out a couple times and was never gotten back to. Would never take her again.
